Charity Channel Swim for Life NoW

The equivalent of 10 Channel Swims (that's 10 x 21 miles or 1400 lengths of the swimming baths!) between 12 swimmers has raised a fantastic £1,116.50 for the very worthy charity, Life NoW

The 12 sea snails slid off their sofas and into their local swimming pools to raise money for a great charity. They were Miriam Grave, Isaac Grave, Margaret Fisher, Julie Sprakes, Emma Shepherd, Chris Winter, John Kay, Trevor Williamson, Kentsi Williams, Melanie Hollaway, Nicola Hollaway....and Josh Grave did about a mile and a half to help out a bit!  John Kay completed the equivalent of 2 Channel swims on his own!

Well done and special thanks to all the sea snails who took on this challenge (and in the winter, too!) raising a lot of money to boot!

Also, huge thanks to everyone who sponsored the swimmers and helped to make the sum total what it was - amazing - £1,116.50.....!  Thank you.

Life NoW is a local charity that seeks to meet the needs of young adults, in and around the North West, who have life-limiting, life-threatening or end of life conditions. For more details: http://www.lifenow.org.uk/
