Carnival new item main picture

What a great day! ...

The morning of Saturday, 1st July saw the annual Lostock Hall Carnival come to life once again, for another year, and CCF took part in the usual way - with our free refreshments tent, free face painting and fun games. We were blessed with a sunny day and a great team who helped to set up the marquee and all the necessary bits 'n' pieces to get our presence on the field underway and noticed. Along with the procession of carnival floats, the field was awash with a variety of things to do for all the family. All in all, it was the usual, great community event, having something for everyone.

Here's a note from one of our Elders concerning CCF's involvement:

"People really appreciated the tea and coffee, face painting and games and were very grateful that everything was free. Even the Mayor joined in the fun and had a go at 'Splat the Rat'. Loads of children were delighted at having their faces painted.....Finally, one man was overheard whilst on his mobile phone, explaining where he was: "I'm next to that Christian Cavalry [sic] place".....Something for us to think about there...."

So, as usual huge thanks go to everyone who helped out in the preparations and on the day, whether you helped just a little or whether you stayed for the full day. Your time and effort makes an impact and a difference.

Thank you!
